Lately on Google+ there has been an emergence of hash-tag memes that are focused on photographers and photography.
Hash-tags like #naturalmonday have sprung up as a way for photographers to share their images and get more followers.
So how can a new photographer get found on Google+? Easy. Start following other photographers. Comment on their photos and see what hash-tags they are using. From there add your photos to your profile and hash-tags them. Slowly you’ll see your following grow.
Another key is to engage with those who have Circled you. Ask them to share and comment on your photos.
In the end you’ll find yourself with a good amount of followers who are not just those who Circled you, but those who actually care about what you are producing and doing — the best kind.
We all know how great Google+ is. But it doesn’t do us any good if we are following a thousand people and they’re all grouped into one “Circle.”
